Agriprocessors might have found a buyer, though the man in charge of the company’s finances says it’s just an opening bid.
Agriprocessors bankruptcy trustee Joseph Sarachek says the bid of $40 million from Israeli company Soglowek Nahariya Ltd. is a serious offer that provides a benchmark to other bidders.
The slaughterhouse in Postville has been for sale since late last year. Sarachek has said the company has at least 12 buyers looking to buy all or part of the company.
Other bidders have until March 18 to submit an offer.
Agriprocessors, once the nation’s largest kosher slaughterhouse, has faced financial and legal trouble since a May 12 immigration raid in which 389 people were arrested.

thats a nice bundle of bucks
I believe Soglowek manufactures soy products. I guess they plan on using the real thing now.
#1 maybe i will outbid them before march 18
I guess another company is going out of business soon! It’s called Soglowek Nahariya Ltd.. Don’t they realize there is no room anymore for Agri? Everyone has already found new suppliers!!
Isnt Soglowek the company that had milk in real burgers?
they do real meat as well
Maybe some of the 40 mil can pay for Sholom to have good expensive representation to get him off the hook
Maybe we’ll finally get some good meat in E”Y! Bring on the rib steaks!!!
something smells real fishy here… in the last six months soglowek Naharia laid off a considerable amount of employees claiming downsizing due to affordbility.
