A special community wide program is planned for Thursday, January 1st, Asara B’Teves. Organizers say that this may be one of the most important and inspiring shiurim that you will attend.
After the success of the packed Emunah seminars hosted at the Brooklyn Jewish Xperience Kiruv and Chizuk Center (BJX) last year, this event will surely make a tremendous impact. People came to the Emunah seminar with many pressing questions about Yiddishkeit. Some of them had questions that were lingering for years. People left refreshed, recharged and rejuvenated. “Now more than ever, it is critical for frum Jews to recharge their ‘Emunah batteries’”, said Rabbi Moshe Fingerer, director of BJX. “Klal Yisroel has experienced a terrible onslaught of terrible tragedies and unfortunately there has been an array of internal issues that we’ve being confronted with that challenge and shake the foundation of our Emunah. This shiur is crucial for every frum person who wants to feel love for Hashem and not just go through the motions.”
The Rav of BJX, Rav Yitzchok Fingerer will be the speaker at the program. Rav Fingerer, a talmid of Rav Pam Zt”l of Torah Vodaas, received semicha yoreh yoreh, yadin yadin and also spent many years learning with HaRav HaGaon R’ Yisroel Belsky, shlita and at Beis Medrash Govoha in Lakewood and Mir Yeshiva under the tutelage of Rav Shmuel Birnbaum, Zt”l. He has a background in the sciences as well and is the author of the acclaimed Hashkafah sefer, Search Judaism (Targum/Feldheim). Weaving together psychology, science, and philosophy, Search Judaism is a life-raft for those struggling in churning, confusing waters. Harav HaGaon R’ Asher Weiss, shlita wrote: “Rav Yitzchok Fingerer’s exceptional sefer entitled Search Judaism is an extremely timely book, essential for those looking to attain a deeper level of knowledge and yearning to strengthen their relationship with Hashem. Organized in a tasteful and intellectual manner, the book is a masterwork, filled with great wisdom. In each chapter we see the outstanding perceptions and intellectual depth of the author. My blessing to the author, shlita, is that he merit to glorify Torah and disseminate knowledge and awe of Hashem.”
Mr. Zevulun Ort, was a participant in last year’s Emunah seminar. He said that he truly enjoyed the seminar. “First and foremost, Rav Fingerer is a huge Talmid Chacham. You see that clearly when you listen to his shiurim, but even more so when he takes questions after each shiur. A rabbi can prepare for a shiur, but he cannot prepare for questions, because he can never know what they will be. No matter what we throw at him, he has got all the answers at his fingertips: Gemara, Rishonim, and Achronim. I truly believe that he has an encyclopedic knowledge of Kol HaTorah Kulo, and also of the encyclopedia,” said Mr. Ort
Sponsorship for the program is available, particularly so it can be broadcast to other communities.
