Rav Shimon Rosenberg, in his address to an Afula kenos on Tuesday after getting up from shiva, told participants that on the eighth night of Chanukah, he and some 100 people from around the world will light a menorah in Mumbai at a special ceremony.
R’ Rosenberg, the father of Rivki Holtzberg HY”D who was murdered in Mumbai, together with the parents of the Chabad shaliach, Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg HY”D and the families of the other Kedoshim, will be flying on a special flight on motzei Shabbos to India before the eighth night of Chanukah for the ceremony, which will include a march from the Taj Hotel to the Mumbai Chabad House.
Shmulik Rosenberg, a brother of Rivki, explained the event will include chassidim around the world, adding it will be an emotionally charged event that will deliver a special Chanukah message.
In a related matter, the mayor of Afula announced the city will be giving Chabad a plot of land to build a Chabad house in the city in memory of the Kedoshim, Chabad officials are indicating the structure will be another replica of ‘770’.
