Monday 3 Marcheshvan marks the first yahrzeit for Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L. MK (Yahadut Hatorah) used his plenum speaking time to attack both Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin for failing to make even the slightest mention that a year has passed since the passing of the Torah giant.
Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon was present as the official cabinet representative during the session. Litzman addressed his remarks to Ya’alon, instructing him to pass it along as he views appropriate. He expressed pain over the realization that no mention of the yahrzeit was made.
“You all benefited from Rav Ovadia – the coalition support. Where didn’t you benefit. You consulted, pleaded and came to him when necessary. Not a single word was uttered in any of your addresses. Where is the gratitude? This is the first yahrzeit. The opening addresses of the winter session could not mention him? We all benefited from the rav and not a single word!”
“Gratitude is a basic principle in Yiddishkheit. How much we benefited and used him? Not a single word. Please pass this along” concluded Litzman, stating he was done for he expressed his admonition as he intended.

some people dont have gratitude to gd. you expect them to show gratitude to a person??
there “bussy” doing other important things..
very ungrateful …people want to receive and not give back
Rav Litzman actually thinks that these Torah-bereft people will show any gratitude to a godol of Torah and yiddishkeit. Because of the chareidi worlds sinaas chinom to each other and all our various sins, we are forced to have G-dless “leaders” of our Land of Israel. Even those who have some fear and belief in Hakodosh Boruch Hu are against chareidim because of politics. Hashem should help us overcome these difficulties and bring us a true redemption.
And did you mark remembrance day (yom hazikoron), did you mark the day Golda Meir died? He was your leader a great person, no mention was make for R Eliashiv, Rav Shlomo Zalman and other, great he was but so where so many.
#3,
they did mark “yom hazikaron” its called TISHA B’AV
actually, im very impressed at Rabbi Litzman,
he showed true kavod hatorah even though the person he was defending was not one of his gedolim
mbachur
Who cares if he was Ashkenazi or Sefardi?! He was a huge talmud chacham. There was and is noone in this generation equal to him in Torah knowledge!
An unnecessary reprimand, should have been a private discussion bt MK Litzman & Yaalon/BIBI.
