Serial Bank Robber On The Loose in NYC

nypd.jpgA bank robber now connected to 16 heists around New York City passes a note to a teller demanding cash, the NYPD major case squad said Friday.

Surveillance and evidence from the different locations across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens have been analyzed, and the NYPD said it appears to be the same man behind all 16 robberies.  The suspect does not wear a mask during the heists.

The robberies began in March at the Sovereign Bank on Third Avenue near 63rd Street in Manhattan.  The most recent robbery was earlier this month at another Sovereign Bank, this time on Smith Street in Brooklyn.

  2. People used to rob bank because that is where the money is. This robber must be clueless about todays economy to be robbing banks, that’s why he robbed so many banks & still doesn’t have enough money.

  3. Robbing banks today is like applying for a job at Lehmans brothers.

I know a person that deposited a check at his bank and the bank bounced.
