We regret to inform you of the Petira of Rabbi Issur Rockove Z”L on Shabbos morning. The Levaya will take place at the Holocaust Memorial Chapel in Lakewood on Sunday at 11:00AM. There will also be a Levaya at the Chofetz Chaim Yeshiva in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens at 3:30PM. Rabbi Rockove Z”L, 95, was one of the first talmidim of Rav Dovid Liebowitz when he started the Chofetz Chaim Yeshiva.

For many years he was involved in chinuch in Detroit. Later moved to Schunat Mattersdorf in Yerushalayim. (“mishpachas Panim Meiros 11”)

Rabbi Rockove was a very special person he was in charge of the funeral home Chesed shel Emes for many years. He also gave a shiur in Shul every shabbos and had a chavursa everyday as well. He will be sorely missed.
