A 55-year-old local man was R”L hit by a car and killed early today on Route 306 by a driver who left the scene without stopping, police said.
Ramapo police received a phone call at 12:37 a.m. from an anonymous person who said that there was a man lying along the side of the road north of the intersection with Willow Tree Road, according to Lt. Brad Weidel. Police found the man, and he was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by Hatzolah ambulance. 55-year-old Mordechai Gluck Z”L was R”L pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police are looking for witnesses to the fatal hit and run. Anyone with information is asked to call Ramapo police at 845-357-2400.
