A 17-year-old Wisconsin boy is accused of murdering his parents as the first step in an elaborate and disturbing plot to assassinate President Donald Trump and violently overthrow the United States government.
Federal court documents reveal that Nikita Casap, of Waukesha County, allegedly killed his mother and stepfather in March in a calculated move to gain access to their financial resources in pursuit of his radical agenda.
According to investigators, Casap sought “the financial means and autonomy necessary” to execute a plan that included the use of drones and explosives as weapons of mass destruction, with the ultimate goal of launching a violent political revolution. Authorities allege the teen was in active communication with others who supported or aided his plan.
Casap was arrested on March 1 after Waukesha County Sheriff’s deputies discovered the bodies of Donald Mayer, 51, and Tatiana Casap, 35, inside the family’s home. He now faces two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and two counts of hiding a corpse, along with state-level charges for theft over $10,000 and identity fraud.
A federal affidavit outlines possible charges including conspiracy to assassinate a U.S. president and the use of weapons of mass destruction. The investigation is ongoing and involves multiple federal agencies, including the FBI.
Authorities say a search of Casap’s phone and personal writings uncovered references to The Order of Nine Angles, a neo-Nazi extremist network associated with violent white supremacist ideology. Court documents describe Casap’s writings as “explicitly violent,” praising Adolf Hitler and calling for a racial war.
A chilling image found on his phone included a photograph of Hitler overlaid with the words: “HAIL HITLER, HAIL THE WHITE RACE, HAIL VICTORY.”
The FBI also uncovered communications suggesting Casap had reached out to like-minded extremists to discuss his intentions and had purchased or helped finance weaponized drones and explosive devices as part of his broader plan. According to the affidavit, “at least some individuals Casap was in contact with appeared to have assisted or encouraged his efforts.”
Federal agents say the murders were only the beginning of Casap’s plan. By eliminating his parents and stealing their financial information, Casap allegedly hoped to secure funds and independence, allowing him to travel and carry out attacks.
“This was not an impulsive act,” a law enforcement official said. “It was planned, it was ideological, and it was terrifying in its scope.”
Casap appeared in state court on April 9 for a preliminary hearing and is being held without bail. He has not yet entered a plea. His next court date is scheduled for May 7.
Federal charges have not yet been formally filed, but the U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed the case remains under active investigation and could expand in the coming weeks. A spokesperson declined to comment further, citing the ongoing nature of the case.
If federal charges are brought, Casap could face life imprisonment or even the death penalty under certain statutes.
