New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg isn’t saying whether he’d like to change the term limit law to seek a third term in office.
Asked about it Sunday by Tom Brokaw on “Meet the Press,” he made a joke about wanting to be the new host of the NBC program.
The mayor went on to complain about political partisanship without answering the question.
Under current city law, Bloomberg cannot run for a third term next year.
Bloomberg also indicated he might be willing to take a role in helping the federal government implement its financial-markets bailout plan. He says he has a job in New York but he’d do anything the country asks him to do, including give advice.
