A woman was tragically killed after she was struck by a vehicle in Flatbush on Sunday evening. The tragic accident occurred at the intersection of Avenue L and East 12 Street at around 5:30 pm. Flatbush Hatzolah Paramedics rushed her to Community Hospital, where she was R”L Niftar.
The nifteres was identified as Rebbetzin Chana Layosh a”h, 73, the daughter of Harav Mayer Tzvi Fisher zt”l of Yerushalayim, and was widely known as an amud hachesed. In fact, she was struck at the corner where she resided, and was on her way to shop for an almana when she was hit.
She is survived by her husband, Rav Yitzchok yb”l, her sons R’ Menashe, R’ Efraim and R’ Eliyahu, and her daughters, Mrs. Elka Turetzky, Mrs. Ofra Glassner, and Mrs. Bracha Yarmish.
The levaya is scheduled to take place at 2 PM today at JFK, 78 North Hangar Road, door number 4. Kevurah will take place in Eretz Yisroel.

This is a really dangerous intersection. There have been multiple fatal pedestrians struck here.
