The event celebrated the ongoing collaboration and mutual commitment to the safety and well-being of the Rockland County community, especially its Jewish residents.

The meeting featured notable attendees, including Chaverim of Rockland Coordinator Yossi Margeratten, and guest speaker Rabbi Dudi Farkas of Chabad of Olympia, who delivered inspiring remarks on unity and resilience.

Law enforcement agencies showed a robust presence, with personnel from the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, Ramapo Police, Spring Valley Police, Haverstraw Police, Stony Point Police, Clarkstown Police, Orangetown Police, and the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office all in attendance.

YWN recognizes the dedication of the Margeratten brothers, Hershy and Yossi, whose steadfast efforts continue to support the local community behind the scenes.

  1. I hope the succa wasn’t kosher, this kind of meeting is a very good thing, and should be copied, those that organised it should be shown appreciation and thanks to them, it helps the jewish communities in the area.
However, I hope they asked a Rav beforehand, as allowing גוים into a succa is not pashut at all.
It is not supposed to be done. The Succa is commonly described by mefarshim as Hashem kiviyachol embracing his chosen people, hence the need for at least three walls, to hint to an embrace with the arm, in which the hand is one wall, the lower arm the 2nd, and the upper (biceps) the 3rd.
