VOTE TODAY – NYC Primaries Are Today

kk.jpg10:30AM EST: YWN reminds all of our NYC readers to vote in today’s primary election.

There are many races across the city of great importance to our community, and we have the ability and opportunity to send a loud message to our elected officials that we are engaged in the electoral process and that the needs of our community must be protected.
Elected officials are watching closely to see if we are voting.

Do your civic duty and stand up for your community!

Polls close at 9:00PM, and you can find your polling location by clicking HERE.

If you are not yet registered for the general election, over 18 or your address changed, time is running out. Call 212-797-9000 #234 and ask for voter registration.

UPDATE: ELection officals tell YWN that as of this time there is very low voter turnout in the Boro Park area. Get out and get your voice heard by voting – TODAY!

  1. The big question is “Who do we vote for”? There seems to be a lot of opposition against Simcha Felder even amongst the frum people. Dov Hikind is endorsing Kevin Parker. This really confuses the situation!

  2. To all those that work in Manhatten: Just remember, that Simch Felder voted for congestion pricing! Think about what that would of done to your wallet if it would have passed!

  3. What you need to understand is the Jewish community has stopped going to the polls. Our ability to gain access to our elected officials has become diminished. Other communities are registering thousands of new voters and we cannot afford to lose our political clout. The point is we must show that we vote. Every precinct in our neighborhoods are analyzed down to the block. The numbers don’t lie.If we have a specific candidate to support all the better but the most important point is we must vote. The Askanim , activists and community leaders are asking us to vote because it will help us. What is the question?
This year being Presidential, next year being Mayoral with the Senate and gubernatorial to follow our Koiach to get things done and catch the eye of the officials lies with you.We must teach our children the importance of voting as well. Our parents and grandparents considered it an honor and a privilege to vote. The Gedoilim of the last generation called upon Jews to vote as a Chiyuv and a Mitzvah. Be Makayem the directive of Rav Moshe Z”L and Rav Yaakov Z”L and help your Tzibbur.
There is no excuse. It does not cost you money, the myth of Jury duty is just that, a myth. You must VOTE!

  4. It’s obvious that the Rabbonim on this KOL-KORAH want you to vote for SIMCHA FELDER because if not why are they writing this now for this election.

It has only Boro-Park Rabbonim on it

What’s nice about this KOL-KORAH is, that you have a lot of rabbonim from different sects on one Kol-Korah Like Satmar & Agudah both Bobovs and more.

    A real KIDUSH HASHEM!!

  5. Please check that your candidate of choice is actually running in your district before showing up at the polls. Many districts have no candidates running and those polls are closed. Literature for Simcha Felder was widely distributed in the frum community and reached people in districts where he is not a candidate. For example if you live in the Ocean Parkway and Avenue N area and normally vote at PS 226 (23rd Avenue and 61st Street) the polls are closed today – there are no primaries in ED 079 or AD 47.

  6. I don want to go to vote!! Every time I vote I get at least 10 Jury duties via mial even when I was Jury just a few days before!! Then I have to spend an entire day sitting in court just waiting to check there records to see that I was just there! I wiil lose my job bec. missing so many days my pay is forget it!!! So let Simcha Felder first stop this madness then will go out for him!!!!
