An Israeli negotiating team has departed for Cairo to engage in talks on a potential hostage deal. The team is led by Mossad Director David Barnea and includes Major General Eliezer Toledano, head of the IDF’s Strategy and Third-Circle Directorate.

The US will be represented by CIA Director William Burns, who will lead the American team in the negotiations.
