OBAMA PLOTTING: Biden Aides Say Former President Working To Oust Biden As Democratic Nominee

The Biden campaign suspects former President Barack Obama is covertly attempting to replace President Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough revealed on Thursday’s episode of “Morning Joe.”

“Joe Biden is deeply resentful of his treatment. Not only of the Obama staff but also the way he was pushed aside for Hillary Clinton… He’s always felt like an outsider, always felt like people look down upon him,” Scarborough said.

These remarks follow a Politico report that actor George Clooney contacted Obama shortly before publishing an op-ed in The New York Times, urging President Biden to step down. The report noted that Obama did not challenge Clooney’s suggestion for his former vice president to exit the 2024 race against Donald Trump.

Obama was present at a high-profile Hollywood fundraiser where Clooney observed what he described as Biden’s decline. The former president was initially one of Biden’s staunch defenders following a poor debate performance that triggered widespread calls for his withdrawal.

Clooney’s op-ed, titled “George Clooney Tells Joe Biden: Quit to Save Democracy,” expressed admiration for Biden but emphasized the challenges of aging. “I love Joe Biden,” Clooney wrote. “As a senator. As a vice president and as president. I consider him a friend, and I believe in him. But the one battle he cannot win is the fight against time. None of us can.” He warned that Democrats “are not going to win in November with this president.”

The op-ed coincided with a viral post on X from Jon Lovett, a former Obama speechwriter, who praised Biden’s presidency but criticized his recent behavior. Lovett wrote, “In the two weeks since the debate, it’s the arrogant and small Joe Biden we’ve seen most – hanging on, bragging, defensive, angry, weak.” He continued, “Joe Biden can leave office as one of the greatest presidents in our lifetimes, who defeated Trump and put his country first at every turn; or he can leave a stubborn old man who allowed hubris and insecurity to destroy his legacy and perhaps our democracy with it.”

  1. Obama’s 2 terms were more than enough thank you. The thought that he’s conniving to get back into the race and be voted in by his pro-Hamas electorate is quite horrifying.

  2. The sad thing is that his party didn’t care b4 and don’t really care now that Biden is in cognitive decline. They only care because his poll numbers are down which means that they cannot continue to run the country from the background as they likely have until now. Personally, I think their best move is to give Jill his ticket.

  3. Media are all a bunch of phonies.
I don’t believe there is any intention of replacing Biden.
They are suddenly spinning all this news to decrease the urgency Republicans feel to get out & vote for Trump, assuming he’ll win by a landslide anyway…
With less red votes coming in, the election can be stolen.
    (Again.)
    Don’t be fooled.
