With an exceptional team of staff, expansive school grounds, and a warm, chassidishe atmosphere, Cheder Chabad Florida has made a profound impact on the Chinuch landscape in South Florida over the last five years.
In order to accommodate the exponential growth of its student body, the Cheder has been sub-leasing a large and beautiful campus for the last two years.
In the middle of this school year, the Cheder received an immediate eviction notice, taking everyone by surprise. Upon investigation, the Cheder discovered that the primary tenant, from whom they had been sub-leasing, had been pocketing their rent money instead of paying the landlord! As a result, the landlord decided to terminate the lease and was looking to sell the property.
Despite the many attempts by the Cheder and local Shluchim to purchase the property, the owner refused to sell it to the Cheder and instead sold it to an investment group.
After much hard work and extensive negotiations, the new owners of the campus agreed to let the Cheder stay until the end of the school year. Crisis averted for now.
Without a place to call home for the coming school year, Cheder Chabad quickly began the urgent search for a suitable campus to purchase. A Chinuch Campus that would become the Cheder’s permanent home for years to come.
In recent weeks, a golden and rare opportunity emerged to acquire a magnificent 10-acre campus near Boca Raton. This 63,000 square-foot campus boasts 34 classrooms, a 4,000 square-foot lunchroom, a 6,000 quare-foot gym, and acres of outdoor sports facilities.
Its central location and expansive facilities, make this a dream opportunity to acquire a permanent home for the Cheder and create a timeless impact on generations of children.
Against all odds, Cheder administrators were exuberant to learn we had received a signed contract at 5:03 PM after months of uncertainty and doubt. This miracle has marked a turning point in Cheder’s journey from tragedy to triumph, and we are overwhelmed with gratitude to the Almighty for His tremendous kindness.
