(PHOTO LINK AT END OF ARTICLE) On Wednesday afternoon, New York State Comptroller Thomas P. Dinapoli paid a visit to the UJCARE headquarters, where he met with various Jewish Community Leaders.
Mr. Dinapoli publicly thanked Rabbi Aryeh Leib Glantz Executive Director of UJCARE, and community activist (Askan) Issac Weinberger both of whom he knows very well for almost 35 years.
He then visited the new Satmar School with 110 classrooms that will be ready in two weeks for the beginning of the new school-year.
After the visit in the school building the Comptroller went to see the biggest Bais Hamedresh in Williamsburg located at 14 Hooper Street, known as the famous “MIRACLE SHUL”, which was built in 14 days. His last stop was at the Satmar Kollel where there were 150 Yungerleit sitting and learning.
The Comptroller said he was amazed of what the community has done, and overall what a great job UJCARE is doing for the community.
