FBI Raids Home of Mayor Eric Adams Fund-Raising Chief; Mayor Cancels Whitehouse Meeting

Federal Bureau of Investigation agents raided the Brooklyn residence belonging to Brianna Suggs, the chief fund-raiser for Mayor Eric Adams, a campaign consultant closely linked to the mayor’s initiatives.

The unexpected raid prompted Mayor Adams to abruptly cancel several meetings slated for Thursday morning in Washington, D.C., where he intended to discuss immigration issues in New York and other major cities with White House officials and members of Congress. Instead, he swiftly returned to New York to address what his spokesperson described as “an urgent matter.”

Ms. Suggs, who could not be reached for immediate comment, plays a crucial role in Mayor Adams’s fund-raising apparatus, which has already amassed over $2.5 million for his 2025 re-election campaign.

A third individual familiar with the situation disclosed that agents from one of the F.B.I.’s public corruption units based in New York questioned Ms. Suggs during the search of her residence.
