In a video statement on his Truth Social platform, former President Donald Trump pledged to “invent” a new country, even though the name he suggested was familiar: “the United States of America.”

Trump took aim at President Joe Biden in the video, saying, “These highly political Biden lawsuits and indictments shouldn’t be allowed to start until after the election is over.”

Without naming her, Trump also criticized Judge Tanya Chutkan for scheduling the commencement of his criminal trial in Washington, D.C. to be a day before the Super Tuesday primaries. Chutkan had previously issued a partial gag order on Trump, limiting him from publicly attacking court staff and witnesses related to the case. Trump described the involved parties as “corrupt people” and invoked the Founding Fathers, suggesting they would disapprove of Biden’s administration.

Trump then shifted gears to comment on the future, asserting that if elected in 2024, he would usher in the creation of “the United States of America.”

Despite facing criminal indictments in four separate jurisdictions, two at the federal level, Trump remains a strong contender for the Republican nomination. Furthermore, he and the Trump Organization are presently being tried in a civil court in New York. A judgment in September already determined that Trump had defrauded banks and insurance companies by overvaluing his assets to gain favorable conditions.
