Moments after the vote to oust Speaker McCarthy concluded, former NY-17 Representative and current NY-17 congressional candidate tweeted a photo of Speaker McCarthy and Representative Lawler with a group of Hasidic leaders from Rockland County and the caption “Well this was a waste of everyone’s time.”
The tweet was widely panned by individuals from across the political spectrum as well as nonpartisan groups.
Stop Antisemitism, a leading nonpartisan organization devoted to fighting and exposing anti-Semitism, replied to Jones’ tweet, “Please get a new social media team.”
Former Congressman Peter Meijer (R-MI-03) tweeted “Is there any explanation for this post that isn’t absolutely vile?”
The Republican Jewish Coalition asked Jones to “clarify why it’s a waste of time to meet with Jewish voters.”
The former Congressman’s comments come at a time when anti-Semitism is on the rise. Earlier this year, CUNY Law School’s graduation speaker Fatima Mousa Mohammed used her time at the podium to bemoan U.S. support for Israel and urged a revolution “against capitalism, racism, imperialism and Zionism around the world.” In the aftermath of this incident, Representative Lawler – who Jones was attempting to troll in his ill-thought tweet – introduced legislation to combat and defund anti-Semitism on college campuses.
Fatima Mohammed’s graduation speech was just one of many high-profile attacks against Israel from American leftists. CUNY subsequently hired a professor who was fired from CNN for endorsing a “free Palestine from the river to the sea” – a euphemism for the complete eradication of Israel.
Representative Pramila Jayapal (D-WA-07) recently referred to Israel as a “racist country.” During his single term as a United States Representative, then-Congressman Mondaire Jones voted with Representative Jayapal 99% of the time.

I think he means that kevin mcarthy does not give a rat about the new square dyansty and both are politicians with completely different views and goals that only met to achieve a political goal. I think many non jews see these hassdici rebbes are corrupt, basically, cult leaders and when politicians use them to get votes it looks bad because it isnt really democracy if its a cult

Mondaire Jones is a black democrat so any criticism of him is racist. Merrick Garland and Chris Wray are monitoring all comments very carefully.
What a blow to Speaker McCarthy! The Speaker is third in line to become president. Mr. McCarthy is a good guy.

Let’s face the current facts. Any negativity about a black is always racist. They’ve been used as pawns for the democratic party in order to buy votes. Now that you have more and more of them in office, you’re stuck with their views and values which are totally one sided.
The jews on the other hand don’t have high ranking officials which care about them and especially the frum ones. So them trying to speak to representatives of the government is no different then blacks. This government is in total turmoil with everything breaking it apart. The country needs to split up and have different governments… there’s no other way

He obviously means that the Skvere Rebbe wasted his time meeting with McCarthy because he is no longer Speaker and won’t follow through with whatever he promised. So all those pastry’s and goody’s where made for nothing, what a waste of time and energy.
At the time the word was the McCarthy promised if Lawler got elected and he becomes Speaker he will pass legislation giving parents the right to decide what kind of education to give their children which would greatly help with the chinuch crisis in NY. That is besides all the money and grants promised to Skvere.
So yes it was a waste of time.
