Felder Salutes Local Law Enforcement on National Night Out

ff.jpgCouncilman Simcha Felder presented proclamations to four police precincts serving his Council District for their efforts to work with neighborhood leaders and organizations to reform crime.  He presented the proclamations to the 61st, 62nd, 66th, and the 70th precincts on the occasion of National Night Out.

“The men and women of these precincts work tirelessly to bring together community organizations and citizens to create safer neighborhoods,” Felder said.  “We are celebrating today the strength of communities that work together to fight and prevent crime.”

National Night Out is an effort from the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) to celebrate and strengthen crime reduction and prevention efforts throughout the country.  Over 10,000 communities participate in National Night Out from the 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide.  Felder personally delivered proclamations to Commanding Officer Inspector Peter DeBlasio of the 66th Precinct and Captain Peter Venice of the 70th Precinct at their night out celebrations, held at the 66th Precinct Station House and the Parade Grounds respectively.

Sure till the next “frum” guy gets arrested or summonsed. Then Felder will be all over the cops. I also don’t hear or see out there making sure that cops get a decent wage so that we can have quality police officers patrolling our streets – if he really cared – that is. Felder, Dear, Hikind – just typical politicians who probably couldn’t make it as part of the real workforce. $90,000 – thats right folks, $90,000 a year isn’t a bad salary for a guy who’s claim to fame is a lobby about pigeons.
