Former US President Donald Trump is expected to be formally charged on Wednesday with crimes related to hush money payments. However, he will not appear before a judge in New York until next week, according to a report by DailyMail.
Trump, who is currently in Florida, will be contacted by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office to make arrangements for his surrender once he is indicted. He will then fly to New York where he will be arraigned, finger printed, and photographed for his mug shot.
New York City and Washington D.C. officials are preparing for possible unrest and demonstrations following Trump’s plea to his supporters to ‘protest, protest, protest’ in response to a potential indictment. The NYPD and Metro Police Department are also gearing up for potential unrest, with all officers expected to be in uniform and ready for deployment.
Trump, 76, previously claimed that he expected to be arrested on Tuesday, but a law enforcement official told DailyMail.com that the earliest an indictment would be handed down was on Wednesday.
