During a Tuesday night press conference, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot attributed her loss in her reelection bid to her race and gender, citing unfair treatment.
Lightfoot is the first Chicago mayor in 40 years to lose a reelection bid. She received just 17.1% of the vote, coming in third place and failing to advance to the runoff election.
When asked by a reporter if she felt she was treated unfairly, she replied that as a black woman in America, she believed she was.
“I’m a black woman in America — of course,” she replied, completely oblivious to the fact that Chicagoans are fed up with the rise in crime the city experienced during her tenure.
This sentiment was echoed by Lightfoot in a February interview with The New Yorker.
“I am a Black woman—let’s not forget. Certain folks, frankly, don’t support us in leadership roles,” she told the paper.
Lightfoot’s mayoralty saw a surge in crime, with a record high number of murders in 2021. Despite campaigning as tough on crime, Lightfoot was outflanked by opponent Paul Vallas, and a survey conducted by Northwestern University found that crime was the top concern for both black and white voters.
In 2020, Lightfoot proposed an $80 million cut to Chicago police funding in her budget proposal.

As far as her statement , of being a black woman. only half of it is true, yes she is black, but definitely NOT a woman, she has a face of a sewer rat and the brains and morals of a rabies infected one.
