EXPLOSIVE: Covid Most Likely Came From Chinese Lab Leak, US Agency Says

A worker wearing a protective suit gestures to a driver outside a tumor hospital newly designated to treat COVID-19 patients in Wuhan in central China's Hubei Province, Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020. The virus is thought to have infected more than 67,000 people globally and has killed at least 1,526 people, the vast majority in China, as the Chinese government announced new anti-disease measures while businesses reopen following sweeping controls that have idled much of the economy. According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, the US Department of Energy believes the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic is most likely due to a lab leak. The report suggests that the virus could have escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, and was likely genetically modified.

The report from the Energy Department was reportedly given in a classified report to the White House and Congress, and demonstrated an about-face for the Energy Department, which now joins the FBI in the belief that the pandemic was due to a lab leak.

The report indicates that the World Health Organization’s investigation into the origin of the virus was inadequate and limited in its scope. The investigators were unable to access all the necessary information and were not able to fully investigate the possibility of a lab leak.

Furthermore, the report states that there is evidence to suggest that the virus may have been genetically engineered, although this theory remains unproven.

The possibility of a lab leak as the origin of the pandemic has been a topic of discussion since the early days of the outbreak. However, the Chinese government has consistently denied any involvement and has instead pointed to other possible sources of the virus.

Dr. Anthony Fauci continues to take the Chinese government’s side on the issue.

“If you look at the data that’s been accumulated by independent international evolutionary virologists, they feel pretty confident that this was a natural occurrence from an animal host into a human,” Fauci said in December. “Has it been definitively proven? No. Is a lab leak possible? Of course, I keep a completely open mind that we don’t know definitively what the origin is. And that’s the reason why we want to keep investigating and get as much data as we can, so that we can prevent something like this from happening in the future. But the overwhelming data right now from independent people, with no horse in the race, feel rather strongly that it’s a natural occurrence.”

  1. Duh. To those who govern, particularly liberals but not always, the definition of a fact is something that you want to be true – not that what actually is true.

  2. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in a classified intelligence report concluded that Covid-19 most likely originated with a leak from a laboratory, although the agency said that it makes the conclusion with “low confidence,” meaning it came to the decision with a low level of certainty. Other agencies that saw the same information as DOE did not change their conclusions on the origins of the virus

  3. “The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in a classified intelligence report concluded that Covid-19 most likely”

“ although the agency said that it makes the conclusion with “low confidence,””

Sorry jackk, anyone knows that most likely and low confidence are exact opposites

  4. why is the department of energy investigating a virus? and if their conclusions contradict the centers for disease control and the world health organization, why believe them?

  5. Did any of you nudnik Fauci bashers read the last paragraph of the article? If not, read it and shut up. If so, don’t read it again and shut up.
