Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has ignited controversy by advocating for the division of the United States into two separate nations, one “red” and the other “blue,” amid claims of an impending civil war. No one wants that — at least everyone I know would never want that — but it’s going that direction, and we have to do something about it,” she said.
Greene claimed that she speaks with many people who are “sick and tired and fed up with being bullied by the left, abused by the left, and disrespected by the left.” She went on to state that “our ideas, our policies, and our ways of life have become so far apart that it’s just coming to that point.”
The Congresswoman’s position was outlined on Twitter on Presidents’ Day, where she called for a “national divorce.” Greene suggested that the nation should be separated into red and blue states, and the federal government should be reduced in size. She described it not as a civil war but as “a legal agreement to separate our ideological and political disagreements by states while maintaining our legal union.”
Hannity questioned Greene on whether she believed that the left and right could work together or if there was a “growing move” towards a split because the “divide is so deep.” Greene responded by saying that she thinks “this is a much bigger movement than most people in Washington even realize.” She added that the response to her message “should tell people a lot.”

Well if “Red America” would be land of Law & order & low taxes, then I certainly would be moving into Red America, and never even so much as set foot into anarchy Blue America.
The Dems should shut up and just let her and her chavrusah keep talking this stuff right through November 2024. I have to admire Hannity for treating this as a serious interview.
Why should she not advocate this? What’s even slightly controversial about it? It’s not an unreasonable idea. If enough people want it, it will happen. If they don’t (and right now they don’t) it won’t happen. That’s all. There’s no moral principle that says the USA must forever remain its current size. That’s like saying the British Empire could not shrink, and the states were wrong to leave it.
This is saying “So we can’t get along? Give up.” What will happen when the right right and the moderates have similar problems? There no way this could ever happen as a “divorce” and she shouldn’t be given the time of day about this. She should be thrown in the funny farm. Privatize schooling and let the left destroy itself.
The reason that is a dumb idea is that even in “Red” states there are very large “Blue” pockets, and vice-versa. And splitting up the US would leave both sections seriously weakened. Supporting federalism, and respecting states’ right to take policies different than the Federal government in areas the Constitution assigned to the states, would reduce much of the current tension (e.g. the Blues stop trying to schecht Red State babies, and the Reds stop trying to tell Blue State woman to do).
Go ask the UK how Brexit is working out for them.

This treasonous ignoramus should be expelled from Congress. An undeniable indefensible violation of her oath of office.

If you take a moment to actually listen to her speak, you will see that she is certainly not “stupid”. Whatever interesting theories she might have read and promoted do not change her intellectual abilities.
Her idea is, of course, not “patriotic”, because that would involve splitting the country into two, which would mean a reduction in the size of the country.
