Some people think so deeply into things that they end up losing their minds. One of those people is Charlie Kirk, a MAGA conservative who rose to fame thanks to Donald Trump.
On his eponymously named show, Kirk played a clip from an Air Force general saying that he is not ruling out anything about the balloons’ origins, including that they might be from aliens.
“But should we even trust anything that the government is saying?” Kirk asked in response to the clip.
“Could this all just be a false flag operation to fake an alien invasion or fake a UFO hysteria crisis to try to justify more power — lockdowns — control?” he suggested, “These are all rational questions, but I do believe this. I feel like I’m being lied to.”
Yes, Charlie, the balloons are a false flag to force you back into lockdown. You’re a genius.

I heard someone (a caller) on a radio show say that maybe these balloons are spreading a disease like Covid

If you want a wild conspiracy theory, how about: The Chinese are trying to focus the world on balloon warfare in the hopes of ending the war in Ukraine, to prevent the United States and friends from building up their armed forces which would interfere with China’s expansion plan. They hope to persuade the Ukrainians and Russians to settle their dispute with balloons. Each side will slug out with state of the art water balloons, the the side that is driest gets to keep Crimea and Donbas.

@shlepper, There’s no question that it’s people like you who are making political conservatives look like morons to the rest of the country. The normal Republicans have to disassociate from the ignorant extremists (including many in our own community!) if they want to win anything! I, for one, have admired Nikky Haley for years and I wish her Hatzlocha in her run for POTUS.

Most of the country never had a lockdown. Chunks didn’t have any pandemic restrictions. And if he were still in Illinois, the loopholes and lax enforcement made it the joke of jokes anyway.
