On Tuesday July 29, 2008, at approx 1:40AM, Officers responded to the area of 184 Woodlake Manor Drive to investigate a report of Shots Fired. Officer William Allen observed broken glass in the roadway along with several spent and live 20 gauge shotgun shells.
At approximetly 1:56AM Officer Lenny Nieves Jr was sent to Kimball Medical Center to check on two individuals suffering from gun shot wounds. Upon arrival at Kimball, Nieves found a vehicle with bullet holes in the passenger side door, and front drivers and passengers windows shattered. In the emergency room Officers found the victims Ronald Hagan (33 years old) from Anthony Court, Lakewood, and Montel Thomas (26 years old from Willow Point Drive, Brick. Hagan was treated for glass shrapnel wounds to both forearms. Thomas suffered a grazing gun shot wound to the top of his head.
Both victims stated they were sitting in a car in front of #184 Woodlake Manor Drive, when an unidentified Black male approached the passenger side of the vehicle and opened fire on the car. The suspect was further described as being 5’-10” to 6’-00” tall, thin build, last seen wearing all dark clothing including a ski mask or bandana over his face. Firearm was described as a dark pump shotgun.
