NYPD Commanding Officer of Community Affairs, Inspector Richie Taylor tells YWN that Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey has ordered a deployment of additonal resources at Houses of Worship citywide.

Earlier YWN reported that NYPD Community Affairs Lieutenant Yitzy Jablon told YWN that Assistant Chief Charles McEvoy will be deploying additional resources to houses of worship in Southern Brooklyn after the attack in Jerusalem on Friday night.

It has now become a citywide deployment.

The NYPD tells YWN that there are no known threats at all, but are doing this out of an abundance of caution.
