YWN regrets to inform you of the tragic Petira of Rebbetzin Rechil Breindel Teitelbaum A”H, from injuries sustained in the Monday morning fire in Williamsburg. She was 71.
As YWN had reported, Hatzolah and the FDNY rushed to the scene shortly before 7 am and found heavy fire on the first floor of the building which was extending to the second floor. More than 100 firefighters were called in to battle the blaze.
Hatzolah dispatched ambulances and members from Williamsburg, Crown Heights, Lower East Side, Flatbush and Boro Park to the scene, where they treated 17 patients, all of whom were suffering from smoke inhalation – including one who had gone into traumatic arrest. She was rushed to the hospital and transfered later on Monday to Staten Island University Hospital. Sadly, she was Niftar on Thursday afternoon.
She was the wife of Rav Lipa Teitelbaum, the Dayan of Beis Aharon in Williamsburg.

I mamash have goosebumps. I’m sitting here after an uplifting Shabbos with my family and here I reading about terrible tragedies. Williamsburg, Florida, Eretz Yisrael, Boruch Dayan Haeemes.
