The best writers in the world couldn’t come up with the character that is Rep. Ilhan Omar, who again proved herself to be as egomaniacal as she is deluded.
Complaining that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is booting her from the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Omar asserted – with all the self-righteous confidence she could muster – that the move poses a threat to national security.
The move, which is being made over Omar’s multiple antisemitic comments, is “a blow to the integrity of our democratic institutions, and a threat to our national security,” she claimed.
U.S. security officials are now terrified, wondering how the country will go on without Omar in a powerful position she has no business being a part of.

McCarthy isn’t kicking her off anything. He would like to, but he has no power to do so. All he can do is propose it to the House. If a majority of the House agrees with him, they will kick her off the committee, just as a majority of the last House kicked Greene and Gosar off all their committees. I hope the majority do kick her not only off the Foreign Affairs committee but off all of them. But whether it does or not, it won’t be McCarthy’s decision. He only gets one vote out of 435.
Yeh, the US is a terrible racist country. Ilhan should move back with her husband/brother to Somalia. Over there she will be treated with the utmost derech eretz.
What is the connection between “security” and dangerous bigots like Omar asides from its opposite?
