A clearly flustered, exasperated, and overwhelmed White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre hemmed and hawed her way through a disaster of a press conference on Wednesday as she was barraged by the media with questions about Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents.
The revelation that Biden kept classified documents – coming just months after he blasted Donald Trump and called him “irresponsible” for doing the same – has sent the White House communications team scrambling for a coherent response.
And if a logical explanation is something the White House was attempting to provide with Wednesday’s presser, it surely didn’t appear that way, as the frustrated press secretary snapped and scowled at reporters’ questions.
“Is the president willing to be interviewed by federal investigators about his handling of classified documents?”
KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: “I’m not going to get into hypotheticals.”
“Was the president sloppy in his handling of classified material?”
Karine Jean-Pierre responds by reading his lawyer’s statement.
Karine Jean-Pierre gets flustered when asked why Biden cited his Corvette to justify hiding classified documents in his garage
REPORTER: “Is the library a room adjacent to the garage?”
KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: “I don’t have any of this information that I can provide.”
REPORTER: “Is the president’s Corvette stored in the garage where the documents were found?”
JEAN-PIERRE: “His Corvette is in the garage.”
“Do you acknowledge that the fact that the White House did not reveal this to the public despite the fact that you’ve known about it for months undercuts the president’s promise of being transparent?”
KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: No
Reporter: “Another one on GarageGate. What is the White House trying to hide? … Someone gave the president a statement to read on Tuesday that was incomplete at best, misleading at worst.”
As a reporter starts to ask Karine Jean-Pierre about releasing the visitor logs to Biden’s Delaware home, she calls on a different reporter so they will “ask a question that was not related” to the classified documents.
Reporter: “How can you say this was transparent when you sat on this information for more than two months?”
Karine Jean-Pierre ignores the question.
KJP: “We are confident that a thorough review will show that these documents were inadvertently misplaced.”

there are those that say the Democrats want to get rid of Biden and are turning against him. Who found the documents? By Trump, it was the FBI. What’s going on? They say that really every President takes some documents with him. No one cares. Here, they were trying to get rid of Trump and now of Biden. It’s only a theory. Not my opinion. I’m just asking.
