The two women in the attached videos exit their car on Coney Island Avenue and Avenue P – and before the driver has a second to lock her doors, a perp runs up and quickly opens the back door just a crack.
The driver even checks the front door to make sure she locked it, oblivious to the fact that the back door is already opened.
The same perp then follows them across the street as a “look out” for his partner that goes into the car and takes all the bags from the back seat.

What could the two women have done differently to protect their property? Not too much.
Throw all the illegals out. This is not Mexico or Central America (last time I checked.)
On many cars and mini vans (like Toyota Sienna), you cannot click lock the doors if one of the doors is open, instead you get a loud “whinning” sound.
yes, it’s all completely random..it’s the illegals’ fault, mexicans, etc.. etc.. there is no reason why anything happens in this world. just lock your doors properly and you will be fine. scary
Correct it shouldn’t work unless all the doors are closed. This is a Volvo. I have a Volvo and it won’t lock unless all doors are closed. Something is off with this video.
Telling people to see the video in order to learn how to protect themselves, reminds me of the Chelm story – where the tzedaka box in the shul would be stolen from on a regular basis. This Volvo XC90 wouldn’t lock if a door is open – fact. And while the driver will try to activate the lock mode on the remote control the lights and sound wouldn’t operate – fact! Any sensible person would notice this straight away and take appropriate action to lock the car! however some woman chattering really overtakes them to a level, that they simply do not pay any attention to any safety modes. !!! this seems to be the case!
