An NYFD firefighter has been charged in connection with a disgusting act of vandalism on a sukkah that occurred in October.
According to the NYPD, Marty Party, a 37-year-old NYFD member, approached a sukkah near E. 92nd Street and Second Avenue on the Upper West Side and began kicking it, causing damage to the structure. He then went inside the sukkah and urinated in it.
Party has been suspended by the FDNY for four weeks – the maximum allowed – over the incident, also noting that he was not on duty during the incident.
The NYPD charged him with criminal mischief, after finding that he was apparently heavily intoxicated when carrying out his act of vandalism and defilement.
According to public records, Party enjoys a $92,000 annual salary for his job as an NYFD firefighter.
