Outgoing Dr. Anthony Fauci infamously told people in the early days of the Covid-19 vaccines rollout that those who are vaccinated will not get sick from the disease, won’t spread it, and that Covid would become a pandemic of the unvaccinated.
Those talking points have completely unraveled, as a new analysis – from a major left-leaning outlet – shows that the majority of people dying from the virus have been vaccinated.
A Washington Post analysis found that 58% of U.S. Covid deaths in August “were people who were vaccinated or boosted.”
“In September 2021, vaccinated people made up just 23 per cent of coronavirus fatalities. In January and February this year, it was up to 42 per cent,” the report said.
According to the Washington Post, deaths among vaccinated people are increasing due to their waning efficacy and “increasingly contagious strains of the virus being spread to elderly and immunocompromised people.”
“We can no longer say this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” said Kaiser Family Foundation vice president Cynthia Cox, who conducted the analysis.

I think that this is a manipulated statistic.
Yes, let’s say that it’s true that the majority are vaccinated. But surely you have to look at the overall death rate?
Say from 100 people,
-if none were vaccinated 40 would die, and
-if 90% were vaccinated 6 vaccinated and 4 non vaccinated die,
it still makes sense to take the vaccine as it lowers the death rate? You go from 40% to 6%? Am I wrong?

Misleading headline. 80% of people in US are vaccinated. There is therefore 4 times the amount of vaccinated than unvaccinated people and 4 times more “opportunity” for death. Additionally, unvaccinated people are 17 times more likely to be hospitalized due to severe covid symptoms than vaccinated people.

As others have noted you cherry picked one statistic.
The report definitely links not being vaccinated with a 6x higher mortality rate.
So while it is true that the majority of people dying at this point are vaccinated, it is also true that not being vaccinated is a high risk factor for death.
YWN is misinterpreting statistics. If most people have vaccines, than they would comprise the majority of deaths, even if fatalities are disproportionately small compared to the unvaccinated.
A misleading and irresponsible headline!
I received both initial shoots under pressure to remain employed and I regret them both.
As others mentioned, 80% are vaccinated. More also, probably 95% of those older and higher risk. So, 60% of dying are vaccinated – that means vaccines help. Of course, the picture is now more difficult: in addition to vaccines, people have prior exposure to the virus. And the time from the latest booster is important. As the WP article says: “Unvaccinated people 50 and up had 12 times the risk of dying from covid-19 than adults the same age with two or more booster doses.”
Actually, it was documented already in early ‘2021 that most covid cases that were occurring at that point were with those ‘vaccinated’ – hundreds of nurses and other hospital practitioners went on social media and elsewhere online to report the observed differences in cases then than from those suffering through the initial outbreaks before there was a (unproven, experimental, useless and dangerous) ‘vaccination’.
For those on both sides of vaccination debate, the current discussion is less dramatic from the discussion 2 years ago. Then, it was a chance to meet a totally new virus v. taking a vaccine that was tested on several thousand people for 6 months … In both cases, there was, or might have been, a violent reaction. Even if you were to parse numbers carefully, you would see that vaccine has less problems. But, still, hesitation was understandable.
Currently, the situation is less dramatic. Everyone had one or more vaccines or viruses or both. Some people do not even notice how many times they have virus, except coughing more. Same with the vaccine, reaction to boosters seems to be non-existent and it was tested on billions of people by now.
So, given that covid variants become more contagious and people are mostly not careful, you either need to take boosters once in so many months or get covid in the same number of months. With other CVs, a baby gets like 10 of them in the first couple of years. So, if someone is stubborn to only get covid, say, every 6 months, then expect he will stop hurting his health by 2025.

As people in the comments pointed out it’s a misleading headline. If it was some News story that had a misleading headline I can’t say that I would care much. But here we are dealing with lives. Please take the responsibility seriously.
I am a פשוט simple Jew who simply follows the דעת-תורה of the גדול-הדור, and since the late venerated HoRav חיים Kanievsky זצקללה”ה Systematically Paskened to get vaccinated, I have complied with his פסק and have received all 5 jabs, & ב”ה was all day at work after each of the 5 jabs, and clearly the buck stops once the venerated גדול-הדור has issued an unequivocal פסק
I would add another statistic: The people statistically most likely to die at any given time (the vulnerable and the elderly) are also statistically the most likely to have been vaccinated.
(Nursing Home residents were 100% vaccinated; nursing home residents are also statistically the most likely to be dying at any time, including today. The very elderly had the highest level of vaccine compliance of any age group and they are also the population most likely to die at any given time, including today.)
I’m not going to go into the dangers of this ineffective vaccine that have been verified with the FDA’S VAERS or now even more with CDC’s V-SAFE.
At the very least, this jab caused people to let their guard down if they caught covid – especially the elderly – by not seeking early treatment. This was a PANDEMIC OF THE UNTREATED and remains so for the demographic most at risk.
And many vaccinated people are also dropping dead suddenly from “unrelated” causes.
Y’all need to take a statistics class.

Approximately 80% of the US population has been vaccinated.
If 58% of the people dying from COVID are vaccinated then you still have a lower chance of dying if you are vaccinated than if you are not vaccinated. If the % of people dying from COVID who were vaccinated was over 80% you might have a point but it is not.
A possible reason for an increasing overall percent of the deaths being among those vaccinated is because the unvaccinated had COVID already and have levels of immunity that are catching up to the vaccinated so the total number of people dying has gone down. In other words, it is not numerically more vaccinated people dying, but rather the unvaccinated are dying in lower numbers than before but still at a greater rate than the vaccinated.

The funniest thing is people claiming that since the majority of people in the US are “vaccinated” (which may or may not be true-I don’t trust government data) that’s why more people who are dying from covid-19 are “vaccinated”… Duh. These shots were supposed to PREVENT death from Covid-19! How are those who took the shot better off than those who didn’t take it?!
BTW, many of the scientist involved in the creation of the mRNA technology were against this “vaccine” and predicted that it will cause people to actually die of covid-19.
These poison shots not only cause fatalities, they cause myocarditis, pericarditis, and a host of other serious medical conditions.
