REVEALED: HaRav Lazar Requested, Putin Refrained From Attacking City

HaRav Berel Lazar with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In the course of the International Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Shluchim in New York, HaRav Shmuel Kaminetsky, the Chief Rabbi of the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, revealed that thanks to the intervention of HaRav Berel Lazar, Russian forces avoided attacking his city throughout the war.

According to the report in the newspaper Merkaz HaInyanim, HaRav Lazar, the Chief Rabbi of Russia, made a personal request to Russian President Vladimir Putin that Dnipro be spared from attacks due to the presence of a large Jewish kehilla there.

Last month, HaRav Lazar also made efforts to protect Jews, and specifically the Chabad movement, after the Assistant Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Alexei Pavlov, wrote a letter claiming that the Chabad movement in Ukraine is a cult, along with other anti-Semitic statements.

Following HaRav Lazar’s scathing condemnation of Pavlov’s letter, the Secretary of the Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, completely rejected his assistant’s statements.

Patrushev wrote: “The article by Pavlov contained erroneous statements about Lubavitcher chassidim. I apologize to the readers of the publication and would like to point out that this interpretation reflects Pavlov’s personal view and does not under any circumstances constitute the official position of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.”

Parushev also wrote at the end of the letter that “relevant work was carried out with the author of the article.”

  1. Which idiot would let the world know that a Rabbi asked some leader for spearing a town because of the Jewish residents and they are ok with bombing the rest.
    Idiot.

  2. “Russian forces avoided attacking his city throughout the war.”

The fact is that Dnipro has been attacked during the war. Do a search for “Dnipro attacked” and you will see multiple reports.

So much for another phony Chabad “mofeis”.

Russians Launch Missile Strikes on Dnipro’s Residential Areas, Child Killed
By Kyiv Post. Published Sept. 29 at 12:20 pm

Russian forces launched a missile attack on Dnipro overnight. Three people were killed, among them one child. Five more are injured, including a 12-year-old girl.

On Thursday, Sept. 29, Russian troops launched another missile attack on the city of Dnipro. The air raid alarm went off at midnight, and at 0:56 explosions were heard.

Air Command East previously announced that the strikes were caused by Russian supersonic cruise missiles.

The head of Dnipropetrovsk military administration Valentyn Reznichenko reported:

“They targeted residential areas. At the moment, we know od about three dead, among them one child. Five more are injured, including a 12-year-old girl. The rescuers took her out of the broken house, where she was sleeping when a Russian rocket flew in…”

Several private houses were destroyed. Rescuers continue to scout the rubble, looking for people. There is a possibility that there may still be children there. More than 60 private houses and several high-rise buildings were damaged in the city. Also, markets, buses, cars, and power lines were destroyed.

On Sept. 28, explosions were also heard in other parts of the Dnipro Oblast. Air defense forces shot down three enemy missiles over the region. Another one, unfortunately, hit Kryvyi Rih.

According to Air Command East, since Feb. 24, in the sky above Dnipro and on the approach to the city the Ukrainian military has managed to destroy more than 50 Russian cruise missiles. The Dnipro anti-aircraft missile brigade shot down Soviet models and the modern Kh-101 type.

Ad kan cut and paste. Something doesnt smell right, somewhere.
