Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, issued a warning to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in case he is thinking of launching a bid for the presidency in 2024: don’t you dare.
Speaking to Sky News, Lara Trump said that her father-in-law’s announcement scheduled for 9 p.m. on Tuesday, expected to be his official announcement to enter the 2024 campaign, will be “a very historic event.”
When asked who she thinks would win in a head-to-head matchup between Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, Lara was clear that she doesn’t think DeSantis should get involved until 2028.
“I think that Ron DeSantis is very smart. Look, he’s a young guy. There will be a lot of opportunity for him in the future, and he knows this, to run for president,” she said.
“And so, I think he’s probably waiting to see what my father-in-law does, and I think he’s a smart enough guy to know that it will be great to have all this support of this party — of the America First, MAGA movement, whatever you want to call it — fully behind him in 2028, than possibly fracturing it in 2024. I can tell you, those primaries get very messy and very raw. We’ve experienced that before. So wouldn’t it be nicer for him, and I think he knows this, to wait ’til 2028.”
While many have questioned whether Donald Trump was responsible for the GOP’s lackluster performance in the midterms, the former president has insisted he is not at fault and went full steam ahead with blasting DeSantis and other Republicans who he thinks might challenge him for the 2024 Republican nomination.

Trump should offer to take DeSamtis as his vice president.
This is a deceptive and baiting title – she is not daring or warning Desantis at all, just encouraging him and challenging him to respect his better own thoughts – and in the third-person at that; that maybe that his smarter chances for the White House right now would be better on her father-in-law’s coat-tails.
Some interesting points possibly, but Trump anyway shouldn’t resort to negativity with Desantis or pepper his opinions with any foul language. He should concentrate on challenging his own platform yet more and strengthen his stand on key issues – such as whether he would continue to support ‘warped speed’ of the experimental c19 shot development as a good policy of his from the past, or his having signed off on the telecomm infrastructure package, both of which have significant health-related concerns.
Trump shld bury his head under water and fade away. Hes nothing but an obstacle for the Republicans to get back the WH. He proved it already w the botched midterms. He shld just go away. Go!

Take note of His Excellency’s modus operandi: threatening potential opponents. It might have worked in 2016, but it won’t any more. Especially as His Excellency the Donald’s rantings are approaching the level of the incumbent president. Only Joe Biden is getting old, but not Donald Trump…!
If Trump really believes that he got the election stolen by democrats, what would impede them from doing it again? I rather have DeSantis big time.

The saddest and most disheartening thing is to see how many people are so shallow I don’t critically think for themselves at all. You’ve seen former presidents always get involved in the midterms, and no one thinks to tell them to shut up. Obama doesn’t have a great record and pushing candidates over the line, but no one is telling him to shut up… Bush was so hated that there was no point of him coming out there, but Trump? He was surely a great president, who did historic things which no one can argue about, and he got more votes than any other sitting president in history, so why in the world should he be “toxic“ or “voter repellent“? All the polls show that no one cares about January 6… They all care about inflation, the border, crime etc. which Trump is the best at! Don’t you suspect it’s all a coordinated attack by design, because he is the true anti swamp/establishment?
When you see such tremendous opposition against one man, uniting the left media and GOP establishment, shouldn’t you ask why? He didn’t have much to do with the recent politics other than endorse and campaign for candidates, and all throughout the campaign, all the candidates he endorsed didn’t talk about the 2020 election, rather they talked about inflation, law and order, the open border and all the topics that people really care about! How did he become the devil? Shouldn’t it arouse in your brain any suspicion at all?
Did they forget all the unprecedented criminal activity by the DOJ and FBI, CIA etc.? Did they forget how ridiculous the establishment behaved against Trump?

Lara gets points for family loyalty, but that’s all. Let the voters figure this out.
I watched the video. Lara Trump was very gracious towards DeSantis in both tone and words. In contrast, YWN’s histrionic headline seems libelous. Many of the reader comments reek of hatred. I suggest the YWN writer and the hateful readers (re-)watch the video and learn to express their positions with the same dignity exhibited by Lara Trump.
Why on earth would Desantis ever agree to run for VP? What kind of silly idea is it to even offer it to him?
