The city will receive $10 million more in federal homeland security funding than last year, NY1 reports.
About $144 million in grants from the Department of Homeland Security is headed to the city and surrounding areas.
Senator Charles Schumer said in a statement Tuesday that the $10 million increase in anti-terror funding is too small.
Other local lawmakers say the increase proves that Washington understands New York is still the number one terrorist target in the world.
