WATCH IT: Lee Zeldin Holds Motzei Shabbos Rally In Williamsburg – Aronim Expected To Ignore Hochul Endorsement

A rally in support of New York State Republicans took place on Motzei Shabbos in Williamsburg ahead of Election Day. The rally was held on Skillman Street (near Eden Palace), with the participation of NY gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin, AG candidate Mike Henry and Senate candidate Joe Pinion.

The candidates were introduced by the Brooklyn GOP Committee, with Zeldin called up to speak by Avraham “Abe” Rosenberg, a prominent askan in the Satmar community – who has been assisting the Zeldin campaign and Republican candidates for many months.

Sources tell YWN that many inside the Satmar Aron faction community are incensed over Hochul’s endorsement by their leaders, with many believing that the the Rebbe, Hagaon HaRav Aharon Teitelbaum shlit”a, was misled by his advisors, many of whom have massive profits to make if Hochul wins a full term as governor.

As such, Republicans across New York, and particularly Lee Zeldin, have a high chance of being overwhelmingly voted for by the majority of the Satmar community, despite the official endorsement of Hochul.

Sources tell YWN that despite the Hochul endorsement, the Aron faction of Satmar is expected to vote overwhelmingly for Zeldin.

  1. the Rebbe, Hagaon HaRav Aharon Teitelbaum shlit”a, was misled by his advisors, Misled by his lust for money, ignoring the fact that he cannot alter amount of money that was decreed for him on ראש-השנה some 6 weeks ago

  2. Funny how 147 would never comment against Litvish gedolim in Eretz Yisroel (that also endorse elections based on funding), yet is here mocking a Rebbe, a gadol, a manhig.

Why does 147 blindly follow daas Torah, but only if he agrees with that particular daas Torah?!

Is it really a matter of following daas Torah, or following our own daas that happens to coincide with the daas Torah?!

Is some daas Torah more authentic than other daas Torah, and we are the arbitrators to decide?!

Hypocracy is hipocracy and needs to be called out.

  3. I always am amazed at how otherwise ethical, religious Jews can rationalize joining with Republicans when the only real advantage is more money for Yeshivas. Republicans as a party tried to steal the last election. They failed, buit have organized themselves and selected election deniers across the country to run in 2020. If they win, they will try to end future fair elections. Nazis and white nationalists are solidly on board with Republicans. They keep ssaying that they want a white Christian country. No blACKS. No Jews. Those two issues alone should sent Jews running. But the money is more important to the Yeshiva world. Instead of teaching STEM subjects and preparing their children for careers, they fight to maintain an endless system of poverty and reliance on government money. I guess I understand after all.

  4. Reb Aron Teitelbaum is a rebbe of thousands of chasiddim and he and his brother in law Skver rebbe with thousands chasiddim choose what’s right for their village .
Now let’s assume Hochul will be the winner and she beat Zeldin by 4-6 points which is 300-400 thousand votes then at least the. Orthodox community will have leverage when it comes to asking Gov. Hochul for whatever the askunim will need .

  5. @Rebyossel

What a load of sanctimonious rubbish.
Hashem wants us to do the right thing, not make His cheshbonos for him. “We’ll do the wrong thing by voting for the candidate that wants to oppress our tinokos shel bais rabban and cause a massive chilul Hashem because Hashem needs our help in getting close to Hochul should she win”

  6. What is there to gain by voting for Baloney Baal Toeiva and Hochul?
Even if they win, he’s for sure projected to be a minority congress and she (toss-up) in state leg., so neither will be able to deliver on the promised money

  7. I shouldn’t be getting involved. However, the Skvere Rebbe’s response to Zeldin was, that “he really appreciates his support for Yeshivos, but a fundamental part of Judaism is hakaras hatov, and he owes it to Biden and Clinton. Of course if Zeldingets elected and does good for Yeshivos, he will have the same hakaras hatov.”

    Is he wrong???
