Nearly two-thirds of Republicans say in a new poll that they want Donald Trump to run for president in 2024, even if he’s charged with a crime over his handling of classified documents.
The poll, conducted by NPR/PBS Newshour/Marist, found that while 65% of Americans overall don’t want Trump to mount another bid for the presidency if he’s charged with a crime, 61% of Republicans still say he should.
Additionally, “a plurality of Americans (44%) say President Trump did something illegal when he took government documents after leaving the Presidency. An additional 17% think the former president did something unethical but not illegal. One in four Republicans say Trump did either something illegal (5%) or unethical (20%). 29% of Americans, including 63% of Republicans, think Trump did nothing wrong,” poll directors said.
Trump once said he could shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and he wouldn’t lose a single vote. This latest poll seems to confirm that.

Does YWN still follow the logic of the old time liberal Jews to keep voting democrat? We have a governor who is turning a blind eye on the education issue but who will you endorse come November??? All your kowtowing to to democrats is just creating more problems for our community. It’s time to evaluate the candidates positions and not the party.
As a registered Republican living in Brooklyn, my order of preference as of now is Mike Huckabee (should he decide to run), Pence, DeSantis, Pompeo. Any of them would make a great President. As in 2016, I will not be voting for former President Trump in the primary. Trump was always a Manhattan limousine liberal, NOT a conservative.
Blind allegiance? No, no, no… It’s like Netanyahu (who of course is a rasha and a danger for Klal Yisroel and the security of Eretz Yisroel due to his public flouting of the Torah, but I’m talking theory here), anyways, it’s like Netanyahu… Everyone knows he did a a few crimes, but they also know that he would be the best prime minister! I’m not a Democrat. It will be terrible for this country to have another senile president back to back. President Donald Trump was great during his first term but lately had been making statements that don’t seem ok. I think he has started to show sings of dementia and while he is far from the stage Biden is in, the 2 years that will follow before the elections will show further decline.
That would result in four (or more) years of increasingly Democratic control of the Executive Branch with a woke-leaning Congress. Expect serious restrictions on private schools, socialized medicine, disarming all politically incorrect people, mandatory membership in unions, and cancellation of most oppositions and “freedom from religion” (all this approved by the new 13 member Supreme Court).
For the survival of American, hope that Trump is content to retire.
Note the poll was sponsored by pre-Democratic agencies, who have every reason to want Trump to run.
Also there is no one else that has such a good track record of effective governing more than Trump, and we really need some one effective to put this country back together
Same as most democrats would have voted for Clinton even in case of her being charged with illegal emails…., so there is nothing new here….
At this point, one of two things are true. Either Donald Trump is an absolute reprobate who has sold America to the highest bidder, OR there truly is a cabal of powerful unelected officials who have collaborated with the legacy media and the political opposition to destroy the man.
Given the fact that they have been investigating since 2015 and have changed the scope and direction of the investigation so many times and all they can come up with his that he took some files with him (remember, anything relating to the President is automatically classified), I am more inclined to believe it is the latter rather than the former.
It is irrelevant that Trump’s administration was largely successful. His taxcuts worked to help the economy and so benefited the working class that the Democrats were scared to reverse them even though that was a major demand of their largely upper class base. His foreign policy managed to keep the world intact and make it more stable (even if his idea for Afghanistan failed under Biden’s watch) – unlike Obama he didn’t stab Ukraine in the back, and unlike Biden he didn’t manage to convince Putin he had permission to invade.
But there is every indication that Trump would lose, and seriously hurt the ticket. But if some other candidate runs, even on a platform identical to Trump, he would win and have a Republican Congress as well. Trump’s failure was as a professional politician (which he never was), and he managed to enrage enemies and alienate potential allies – something professional politicians, being very weasel like, usually manage not to do.
What Trump said is not necessarily true because if he had shot a Republican then he would lose one vote…..

Enforcing Democrat policies is treasonous and a MUCH bigger danger to our country and Freedom than Trump.
