America Continues Threatening Iran with Sanctions

achmad1.jpgDespite Iran’s refusal to buckle under international sanctions, the US State Department is threatening with even stiffer sanctions, hoping to obtain a positive response from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, seeking to avoid a military strike against the growing Iranian nuclear threat. In Israel on the other hand, there is a growing call for a military solution to eliminate the problem, with experts stating we are rapidly approaching the point of no return regarding Iran’s ability to build a nuclear bomb.

While the State Department warns of increased sanctions, Iran over the weekend remained firm in its refusal to discuss halting its nuclear enrichment program in talks in Geneva with US Undersecretary of State William Burns.

According to State Department spokesman Sean McCormack, Iran has been given a two-week deadline to give a “clear response”.

Also attending the Geneva meeting was European Union Foreign Minister Javier Solana.

While the talks on Saturday with Iran’s chief negotiator Saeed Jalili were deemed constructive, officials stated they were inconclusive.

The Iranians were warned that the next step will be increased sanctions backed by the permanent members of the UN Security Council.

  1. Dear Yeshiva World,
Iran’s puppet for the Ayatollahs and Imams, is bending and bowing and reversing by giving signs of approval. Specifically, he is quoted by the Associated Press today on Sunday, as follows.
“TEHRAN, Iran – Iranian state radio is quoting President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (ah-muh-DEE’-neh-zhahd) as saying the latest round of talks between Iran and world powers are “a step ahead.”
Please notice the words of the (overcompensating for feelings of inadequacy due to his diminutive height) puppet. He said, “…A step ahead.” That is double speak for, “Okay, we’ll give in because we’re deathly afraid the U.S. and Israel are going to bomb the hell out of us!”
