TOP SECRET: Document Seized from Trump Described Foreign Country’s Nuclear Capabilities

At least one document seized by FBI agents in their August 8 raid of Mar-a-Lago laid out a foreign country’s military defenses, including its nuclear weapons capabilities, the Washington Post reported Tuesday night. The country in question was not identified in the report.

The report also stated that some of the documents contained information about top-secret U.S. operations “so closely guarded that many senior national security officials are kept in the dark about them.” The only people who were privy to the documents were the president and certain Cabinet members, and only they had the authority to allow others to see its contents.

Having access to such highly classified documents requires special clearances only given on a need-to-know basis – having a top-secret security clearance isn’t enough. Generally, such documents are kept under lock and key in a secure compartmented information facility, including a special officer designated to keep track of exactly where the documents are at any given moment.

But rather than being secured, the documents were sitting in Donald Trump’s desk in Mar-a-Lago more than 18 months after he left the White House.

  1. You forgot to put on your headline…

“THIS GARBAGE CAME FROM THE WASHINGTON COMPOST, THE MOUTHPIECE OF THE DNC, WHICH MEANS IT IS PROBABLY 100% FALSE.”

  2. So what, that’s ok. It’s just a storage issue or a late library book issue.
I don’t want to ever again hear about Hillary from these hypocrites.

  3. It appears that Trump enabled spying of very important US intelligence. My only question: how and how much was he paid. He is a crappy negotiator, so US enemies surely got a bargain.

  4. “including a special officer designated to keep track of exactly where the documents are at any given moment.”

“But rather than being secured, the documents were sitting in Donald Trump’s desk in Mar-a-Lago more than 18 months after he left the White House.”

The contradiction here is glaring. If such documents indeed went missing, why didn’t that “special officer designated to keep track of exactly where the documents are at any given moment” ring the alarm bell during all these months???

  5. There are only two possibilities: This leak came from the DOJ or it didn’t. If it didn’t then it’s garbage and should be ignored. If it did then it’s further proof that the DOJ is engaged in the contemptible practice of refusing to release information officially, lying to the courts that any disclosure will harm national security, while all the while it selectively leaks tidbits that support its narrative. At a time when the Democrats are pretending to be all about “protecting our democracy”, there can’t be a bigger assault on our democracy than this. If you want to protect our democracy then the first thing you should do is ignore all such leaks on principle. Treat them as false. Either they are false, or they are a threat to democracy, a far bigger threat than they claim Trump is; one or the other. Either way treating them as false is the only moral way.
