SHE ADMITS IT: Liz Cheney Says She’s Actively Working to Prevent Another Trump Term [VIDEO]

Rep. Liz Cheney, one of just two Republicans on the Jan. 6 committee, admitted in an interview with ABC that she is trying to prevent Trump from becoming president again, but also insisted that the committee is neutral.

“I don’t want you to convey the impression that somehow the hearings are political,” she said. “Because the goal of the hearings is to make sure that Americans understand what happened, to help inform … legislative changes that we might need to make. But I think it’s also the case that there’s not a single thing that I have learned as we have been involved in this investigation that has made me less concerned.

“And I think there’s no question, I mean, a man as dangerous as Donald Trump can absolutely never be anywhere near the Oval Office ever again.”

“I think that he can’t be the [Republican] Party nominee and I don’t think the party would survive that,” she added. “I believe in the party, and I believe in what the party can be and what the party can stand for and I’m not ready to give that up. Those of us who believe in Republican principles have a responsibility to lead the party back where it can be and to reject so much of the toxin and the vitriol.”

Cheney said she would also consider running for president herself in 2024, but that she wasn’t thinking about it right now.

“I think about it less in terms of a decision about running for office and more in terms of, you know, as an American and as somebody who’s in a position of public trust now, how do I make sure that I’m doing everything I can to do the right thing? To do what I know is right for the country and to protect our Constitution?” she said.

  1. Politicians , including Chucky , Nancy ,Bernie, AOC , ETAL , have to get it thru their heads that the political arena is not their personal playground !!!

  2. I think Trump is the one way that Biden gets reelected. I don’t want Trump, and neither does 70% of the population. Like amydock said, DeSantis all the way! I mean, if the other choice is Biden, fine, I’ll vote for Trump. But I don’t prefer him at all.

  3. Remember that Trump was opposed in 2020 by prominent Republicans such as George Bush, Mitt Romney, John Bolton, not to mention his first Secy of State Tillerson and his former lawyer Michael Cohen (who said he acted like a Mafia chieftan and turned the DOJ into a personal torpedo to be used against his enemies) and many other prominent republicans. I suspect the republican establishment is doing everything in its power to keep him out office and return stability to the party. Hashem will decide.
