Excitement gripped the streets of Boro Park on Wednesday afternoon, as throngs of chasidim gathered for the hanachas even hapinah of a massive new Bobov-45 shul on 14th Avenue and 49th Street – one that will be one of the largest such structures in the country.
In addition to serving as a shul and bais medrash, the building will also serve as the headquarters of Bobov-45, with the various operations pertaining to the tzibbur going on in its offices.
Multiple streets were closed off to accommodate the thousands of chasidim participating in the simcha, with event organizers sending gift platters to affected residents in the area, thanking them for their understanding.

Big mistake to have all these Rebbelech share that long head table with the Rebbe. They leave right away and clearly show the kids that they’re totally not interested. Once one or two Rebbele gets up to leave, all Rebbelech follow him because no Rebbele wants to be labeled as one who has plenty of spare time.
why are these large complexes of Jewish Religion and honor to Hashem not in Israel and why in America or Kiev…..shame on all of you….you love torah…..bring it all to Israel…..shame….

Apparently, the ezras nashim will be on the 3rd and 4th floors with a low profile entrance from the roof deck. Not to worry about shamiras enayim while davening w/o bending your neck into a 90 degree angle. For those fearful about the 45ers being upstaged by the 48ers, Bobov 48 was supposed to start building an even bigger new shul on the lot they purchased from Khal Chasidim to compete with the 45ers. We all know that when it comes to hidur mitzvah and chassidish bragging rights, “bigger is better” as demonstrated by the race between Gere and Belz as to who had the bigger shul.there
It is incredibly חוצפהדיק to even mention “48” in connection with the real “Bobov” dynasty.
The real dynasty is simply “Bobov” without any appellation nor embellishment needed, since that is the authentic Bobov sect.
