Dr. Anthony Fauci came under fire after wailing about the “disturbing” fact that a federal court could overrule the CDC’s travel mask mandate.
Asked by CBS anchor Robert Costa whether he agreed with Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle, who struck down the mandate, Fauci responded by tearing into the power of courts.
“Well, I clearly disagree, I mean those types of things should be decided as a public health issue by the public health organizations, in this case the CDC. This is a public health matter, not a judicial matter,” Fauci said.
“So, obviously the CDC will abide by the order of the court because it’s a legal obligation. But one of the problems that we have there is that the principle of a court overruling a public health judgement by a qualified organization like the CDC is disturbing in the precedent it might send,” he added.
Rep. Dan Bishop responded to Fauci on Twitter, saying: “What’s disturbing is that Fauci and the bureaucrats think they are above the law.”
“This is either very ignorant or very deceitful of Fauci,” wrote Glenn Greenwald. “Of course it’s the CDC’s job, not a judge’s, to make public health policy. That wasn’t what the judge was doing. She was ruling on the legal limits and scope of the CDC’s power. And that’s the job of a judge to do, not the CDC.”

It’s “Disturbing” That Courts Can Overrule CDC But so infinitely less disturbing than Fauci & CDC being able to be a dictatorship with no accountability.
There are many more “disturbing things” about Dr. Fucci. Read RFK Jr’s book.
Why is Fauci, the bio-weapons terrorist, not behind bars yet?
No, don’t read RFK Jr’s book. RFK Jr is a certifiable nut. He is no saner than any homeless person babbling on the street. But that doesn’t make Fauci any better. Fauci is not insane, he’s simply a bad person, a would-be dictator. And now he’s open about it. Government by “experts”, which is what he is advocating, is Fascism. It’s classic Fascism from the 1930s. For an idea of where it leads, read C. S. Lewis’s _That Hideous Strength_.
So if Fauci had it his way, the government could mandate anything, even genocide, as long as it is in the name of public health. Wow, what happens to people when their power gets to their head. I won’t even start on the issue of which side tends to legislate from the bench way more often.
The courts are part of the USA government. The CDC is not.
The CDC is there to ensure the public good whereas the court looks at individual good.
What’s really disturbing, that this modern day DR.Mengelle who is responsible for millions of covid deaths, is not hanging from the gallows for the crime of mass murder.
This gangster funded the illegal research on the deadly virus, that released the pandemic on the world.
To jpa: RFK Jr. is a screwball.
To 147: Judges can limit the rulings of the CDC, but in this case, the ruling is legally unsound. The judge in the case was, at the time of her appointment, rated “unqualified” by the American Bar Association. I believe the ruling will be reversed.
Fauci is a sick psychopathic murderer. And here he shows plain and simple that he thinks an unelected official with no term limits should be above the law and be able to dictate to Americans how to live (and die) and take away their constitutional freedoms. If it was up to him he would create a public health emergency every year to keep Americans under his boot. Let’s not forget who started covid in his not so secret lab in china. CDC should not be allowed to make policy for one simple reason- because they are heavily politicized and completely corrupt. None of the policies we were stupid enough to listen to were even effective, and they caused untold harm to millions and economic devastation. Plus Fauci is deep in Pharma pockets. Half his policies are not so much for health as for profit. Let’s not forget he said lockdowns were to encourage vaccination.
Huju, the ABA is a pack of partisan liars, just like you. Their opinion on someone’s qualifications is completely irrelevant, which is why Republican presidents never bother asking their opinion. But it’s interesting that in fact literally the only fault they found with this judge was that she had only 8 years experience at the time, and they feel a judge should have 12 years experience. That is of course a completely arbitrary standard that they invented out of their rear ends, and shouldn’t impress anyone else. But they could find nothing else to criticize about her.
