A woman wearing a Nazi armband in Orange County, California, came under intense criticism and faces possible hate crime charges.
On March 7th, the unnamed woman was spotted wearing the armband while walking past a clubhouse in Laguna Woods.
She was confronted by an 81-year-old man who demanded she remove the hateful symbol, and she responded by spewing antisemitic slurs at the man.
Another man who joined in the argument forcibly removed the armband from the woman.
Once the story became public, the woman was sharply criticized by the ADL, as well as Laguna Woods mayor Carol Moore. Police officials have also recommended that prosecutors press charges against the woman.
“The city of Laguna Woods stands firmly against antisemitism, bigotry and hate in all its forms, fully and without exception,” Moore said in the statement Friday. “The conduct alleged in the disturbance is abhorrent, inexcusable, and antithetical to the character and values of our community.
“We condemn the alleged conduct and any hateful behavior,” Moore said.

Yuck. Nauseating to say the least. Good for the men who confronted her and the one who forcibly ripped that disgusting sign off her.
Typical old privileged white female fully vaccinated Karen democrat voter.
The ADL statement and the article do not agree. According to the ADL article, city leadership did NOT make any condemnation whatsoever for 3 weeks. Imagine if this was someone dressed as the KKK or did something else offensive to “people of color”. Mr. Biden would be holding press conferences!
A swastika stands for the killing of any and all Jews. Displaying it is clearly a hate crime.
Flying the Confederate battle flag is likewise a hateful expression of the belief in the enslavement of African people, and displaying it should likewise be treated as a hate crime.
Charges?! What charges could she possibly face? She didn’t commit any crime. Even if a legislature wanted to ban wearing a swastika, it can’t do that, because it’s protected speech. The same applies to “hurling an antisemitic slur”; that is protected speech, which can’t be banned in the USA. Any police officer or prosecutor who takes any action against her for this is violating their oath and belongs in prison.
On the contrary, she was the victim of a crime, and she should press criminal charges against the man who assaulted her and forcibly removed her armband. He is a criminal who should go to prison.
Huju shows his idiocy and ignorance: “A swastika stands for the killing of any and all Jews. Displaying it is clearly a hate crime.”
How can it be a hate crime, since it isn’t a crime in the first place? Do you even have any idea what the term “hate crime” means? Evidently you don’t.
Expressing an opinion, any opinion, cannot be a crime in the USA. Ever. And therefore, of course, it can’t be any particular kind of crime. That’s what the freedom of speech means, and in the USA the government is expressly prohibited from abridging it. Without that we have no freedom and we are slaves. If you don’t like it, please, please, please go and live in some slave country where there is no freedom of speech or any other fundamental human rights, such as the right to be armed.
