WH Declares War: Netanyahu ‘Unconfident, Weak And Desperate’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s vocal opposition to the P5+1 interim deal with Iran last week was “weak and desperate,” an unnamed senior official at the White House reportedly said Sunday, according to Israel’s Channel 10 News.

Netanyahu’s statements “indicate a lack of self-confidence. We’re not excited about his vocal opposition,” the official was quoted saying.

Still, the unnamed official added, “We do not really fear the result. We have learned how to work in spite of him; he can be managed.”

According to the WH staffer, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s response was causing more harm than good. “Too bad he does not trust us. We know what we’re doing on Iran. We’re not naive,” the official said.

Earlier today, Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert castigated Prime Minister Netanyahu for ‘declaring war’ on the Obama administration by criticizing the Geneva accord.

“We have declared war on the US… Will the savior in the Iranian matter be Putin, or Obama?” Mr. Olmert rhetorically asked, during a speech at the Institute for National Security Studies. “We need to go against the American president? To ask questions, to argue, in closed door decisions, of course.”

On a State visit to Rome, Netanyahu was angrily responded to Olmert’s comments. “Unlike others, when I see vital Israeli security interests in danger – I won’t shut up,” said. Netanyahu. “It’s very easy to be quiet and to bow your head, but I have obligations to the security of my people and the future of my State.”

“I am committed to the future of my country, and in contrast to past times, we have a loud and clear voice among the nations and we will make it heard in order to warn – in time – against dangers,” he added.

  1. According to the WH staffer, “We know what we’re doing on Iran. We’re not naive,” the official said.

Uh, huh. This administration has shown it “knows what it’s doing” every step of the way since ’08!

Re Olmert- is he the one we should be listening to regarding Israel’s security?! He, the one who was ready to give the Palestinians what the most liberal PM was never willing to give! To him we should turn regarding Iran?!

  2. Iran is the friend and Israel is the enemy. Write this down. If (when) Israel attacks Iran Obama will enter on Iran’s side. He hates Israel like his teacher reverend Wright.

  3. Is it too early to add the suffix of yemach sh’mo after mentioning the name of BHO?

I heard a highly respected rov say this past shabbos, that this “breakthrough” with Iran happened around nine months ago which “happened” to be the same time that the govt started messing with the yeshivos.

As we know, in Yiddishkeit there is no such thing as “happened” because HKBH has a plan and cause/effect is part of it.

Just something else to think about when it comes to orah zu torah and chanuka.

  4. To Mark Levin: i don’t know who this “highly respectable” Rov is but it is bunk. Obama STARTED his term in 2009 by abruptly changing the US’ relationship with israel. It was not ‘around nine months ago’ that this breakthrought happened. There have been secret talks for over a year now. Do not relate everything you see to matters that you don’t know about.
