New York Democrats prefer Hillary Clinton over Governor Andrew Cuomo as a potential Democratic presidential nominee in 2016, and New Yorkers in general diss the current president, according to a new poll conducted by Marist for NBC4/WSJ and released Monday afternoon.
If Hillary indeed runs for president in 2016, she gets 64 percent of support of Democratic New York voters compared to a mere 14 percent for their own Governor, Andrew Cuomo. Vice President Joe Biden gets 8 percent and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren gets 6 percent.
In a general election matchup, New York voters prefer Clinton or Cuomo against New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, the poll finds. Respondents support Clinton over Christie by 57 percent to 39 percent, Cuomo over Christie by 51 percent to 44 percent.
Nonetheless, Governor Cuomo continues to enjoy the approval of a majority of New York voters (52%) and leads his potential challengers for re-election in 2014 by at least 40 percentage points.
Cuomo gets leads Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin 64-24, Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino 65-23 and Carl Paladino 67-24.
“Right now, Gov. Cuomo is in good shape to win a second term,” said Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion. “None of Gov. Cuomo’s likely challengers are in striking distance.”
The poll also found President Obama hitting a all-time low approval rating. Only 40% of registered New York voters approve of the job Obama is doing — the lowest since he took office.

Warren 2016!
after Benghazi let her disappear. Be with her husband instead of the country
I would normally say that the creature on earth with the least amount of common sense was the Jewish liberal/democrat, but instead I am forced to quote Mrs. Clinton herself.
“WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?”
