President Joe Biden is under fire after appearing to look at his watch just seconds after a salute honoring the return of the 13 US servicemembers killed in Thursday’s ISIS-K suicide bombing in Kabul.
The president made the unannounced trip to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on Sunday morning as the caskets of the 13 service members killed in the attack were brought back to the United States.
He stood in silence, his right hand to his chest, as a succession of flag draped transfer coffins were carried past him from a C-17 Globemaster plane.
During the event, Biden appeared to look down at his watch, sparking criticism and fury among veterans, Republican politicians and commenters online.
“It’s true. Joe Biden checked his watch during the dignified transfer of the servicemembers killing in Afghanistan at the airport. You can see him jerk his left hand to pull the watch out from under his sleeve, then look down at it,” Nicholas Fondacaro, a news analyst for the Media Research Center, tweeted with a video.

Its comforting to know that the editors are keeping us fully informed of every awkward moment in the daily life of our President (e.g. tilting his head down during the meeting with the Israeli PM, NB, on Friday at the WH). Must be the same gifted journalist who seems to find every unflattering photo of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer from the photo files as the header for breaking news about them. It must have been a very slow 4 years when Trump was in the oval office and everything was so picture perfect and regal

I’m the last guy to defend a lying leftist progressive politician like Biden. Keep in mind, though, that he is a dementia patient. They often lose attention and focus. So he may not even have been aware at that moment that he was not supposed to do that. Also, Many people have a habit of looking at their watches frequently, which may have made him more likely to do so by rote.
He didn’t wanna miss his appointment for his daily Enema & shock treatments.

Joe is a natural born leader. Unlike the last privileged white racist draft dodger who occupied the white house, Joe served and fought on the killing fields in Vietnam and Cambodia alongside Richard Blumenthal. Joe is one tough guy.
Democrats have always shown limited respect for humans as a whole and the military in particular.
He should have had a military salute not a civilian one.
First he killed them. And now their funeral is annoying he can’t wait for it to be over.
