Boro Park: Multiple Vishnitz Bochrim Re-Admitted To Hospital After Bloodwork Shows Abnormalities

Around twenty Vishnitz Yeshiva Bochrim who were hospitalized and released on Tuesday for some type of food poisoning, were all re-admitted on Wednesday night.

Boro Park and Flatbush Hatzolah responded to multiple homes in Boro Park, and transported the Bochrim back to the hospital, after bloodwork showed abnormalities of some type of salmonella or other infection.

As YWN had reported on Tuesday night, the Bochrim had returned from a trip to Ukraine, when they began feeling ill. The entire group landed in NY, and were evaluated by Hatzolah and transported to local hospitals. Some boys in Monsey and in Kaimisha (Catskills) were also transported to the hospital. They all complained of the same symptoms.

It appears the group may have eaten spoiled or tainted food on their trip.

All are in stable condition.

  1. Hopefully, this is not a warning from shamayim for the tens of thousands of yidden planning to run off to Uman in 10 days for rosh hashanah. Was it really important to shlep these yungerleit to one of the worst anti-semitic countries in the world amidst a global pandemic? They should all have a refuah shelamah and rcover quicklyl

  2. gadol ha??? how does one know if occurrence is a ” warning from shomayim” or rather an obstacle to overcome in his growth.. lefum tzaara agra
as far as uman i challenge you to call randomly 5 normal people you know who’ve gone to uman & sincerly ask them what was it like .. what did u get out of it.. whats pulling you .. do mit for the sake of your intellectual honesty .. and than post your results

  3. It was reported that they all ate tuna sandwiches before boarding. The warning is to be careful of eating anything with mayo. You never know how long it’s been sitting around, was it refrigerated, and so forth. Refuah shleima to all the bochorim.

  4. Whether or not from Shamayim, this is a warning about the hazards of global travel. Our immune systems are more effective against the critters that live where we live than against the critters in other parts of the world. I personally prefer to take my risks on travel to the land Hashem promised to us, rather than to a land that treated us as unwanted interlopers.
