Manhattan, NY – At least 10 people have been injured in two separate incidents involving cars driving up on to the sidewalk, YWN has learned.
In the latest incident occurring just after 5:30PM, an SUV jumped a sidewalk and hit five pedestrians at 35th Street and 7th Avenue. Just before noon on Friday, six people were struck and injured when a car jumped a sidewalk near Rutgers Street and Madison Street (Chinatown) [reported HERE on YWN News Alerts]
WNBC reports that the latest incident involves a man who apparently suffered a heart attack while driving. The condition of the driver, and the five pedestrians are unknown at this time.
In the Chinatown incident, at least two pedestrians have been listen in critical condition.
Additionally, YWN had also reported an incident at 3:50PM [HERE] in Far Rockaway involving two pedestrians who were struck by a vehicle at Cornega Street and Reeds Lane. Hatzolah was on the scene at that incident, and the victims do not have life-threatening injuries.
