UPDATE: Hatzolah Air Flies Hagaon HaRav Malkiel Kotler To Specialists At Cleveland Clinic

The Lakewood Rosh Yeshiva, Hagaon HaRav Malkiel Kotler was flown by Hatzolah Air to the Cleveland Clinic on Wednesday morning, where he will be seen by cardiac specialists.

As YWN reported on Tuesday, the Rosh Yeshiva was taken to the Jersey Shore Medical Center by Lakewood Hatzolah. It was feared that he would require an emergency surgery, but doctors managed to stabilize the situation to provide some time so that a decision could be made where to treat the Rosh Yeshiva.

An decision was made to fly him to Cleveland, and Lakewood Hatzolah transported him to the airport where a team from Hatzolah Air was touching down at 4:30AM ready for the emergency flight. The flight crew consisted of two specialized doctors and two Paramedics.

An ambulance from the Cleveland Clinic was waiting on the runway as Hatzolah Air touched down, and the Rosh Yeshiva was taken to the hospital.

While the Rosh Yeshiva is currently stable, he still needs Rachamei Shomayim, and Tehillim should be said for Aryeh Malkiel ben Rishel.

  1. Refuah shleima to the Rosh Yeshiva.
An announcement should be made that there are no good cardiologists in the New York-New Jersey area.

  2. your deliberately writing “430 am” “private plane” “2 paramedics” “2 doctors” on board to get certain people wondering why the elite get such care if anyone knew how much stress reb malkiel has been under in dealing with klal yisroels situations they wouldnt say a peep, reb malkiels family does not have any history of cardiac problems and reb malkiel drinks seltzer and eats roast chicken he might not have put a stich of fried food in his mouth in 35 years if longer and if he did it was probably very minimal , this is all becuase of the stress load the rosh yeshiva is under ywn stop trying to reitz on certain people with choice words your obnoxious

  3. Genuk Shoin, Hatzoloh Air does not provide special treatment for special people they go the extra mile for anyone in need. But, even if they did Rav Malkiel is a special person so if someone has an issue with that then too bad

  4. @genuk shoin is engaging in a classic straw man argument. The article is reporting facts. You are imputing motivation. Klal Yisroel needs achdus and our gedolim. Not stirring the pot with made up issues.
